By Mikebanks Mike Banks Valentine | Published 10/16/2006 | Programming | Unrated

By Mikebanks Mike Banks Valentine | Published 10/13/2006 | Google Adsense | Unrated
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bulldog Reporter's PR University has invited news search engine optimization specialist Jamie O'Donnell to explain why Google News, Yahoo! News, and AOL News put the “public” back into public relations. O'Donnell, the co-founder of SEO-PR, will discuss “Boosting Visibility with SEO” on Nov. 10 in San Francisco at Advanced PR Technology in Practice, an intensive one-day update on blogs, SEO, social media and online measurement tools.

“When people conduct a news search, they often find recent and relevant press releases along with articles in the results,” says O'Donnell. A recent report from Outsell found that “press releases have leapfrogged over trade publications” to become the top news sources of knowledge workers. Bennett & Company's 15th annual media survey also found that online research remains the number one source for journalists to obtain additional story information. In fact, 75% of journalists search the Internet for previous stories on their subject.

Trust is always a tricky issue, and one that is emotionally charged based on our individual experiences with others as we navigate through the maze we call life. In search marketing, trust issues are further magnified by the fact that the industry is still in its infancy and there are no set rules or regulations.  Let's face it, you'd be hard pressed to get a handful of SEO consultants to agree on a definition of SEO.  Even amongst SEOs wearing the same hat color, there is often a giant chasm that divides us

eBay Announcements
Brian Burke, eBay's Senior Marketplace Policy Manager for Feedback, announced that restrictions will be placed on sellers who decide to keep their feedback profile private. As of Oct. 26, 2006, members who have private feedback profiles will no longer be allowed to list items.

According to Burke, members who use private feedback are able to hide comments which could impact another buyer's decision to purchase from that seller. eBay's goal is to ensure buyers have all the information available about their prospective sellers' past trading histories. Sellers currently using private feedback can change to public showing in their account options.
